Senior Project Engineer (Roadway Design)

is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Roadway Design) to work within our West Virginia Transportation Business Unit.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, varied, and team-oriented environment that will use their related experience to develop professionally and grow in today's global environment.
Remote and/or Hybrid work options (home or office) are also viable options, and the successful candidate will be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Job Duties:
Roadway design for WVDOH, Municipal, and Local Public Agency clientsCreates and reviews project design calculations, quantity takeoffs, specifications, plans, and contract documentsWorks within the Transportation Team assigning responsibilitiesWorks within project schedules and budgetsApplies WVDOH design directives and AASHTO principles to highway designUtilizes roadway design CADD software including the ability to model using OpenRoads Designer (ORD)May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Occasional travel to client meetings and site visits with possible overnight stays (up to 10% of the time).

(preferred)Experience in maintenance of traffic design.
(preferred)Experience in roadway drainage design.
(preferred)Experience in roadway geometric design.
(preferred)8 years:
Experience in the highway design field.
Engineering experience with infrastructure design and construction engineering, which may include cost estimates, technical reports, construction plans, and project displays.
(required)Proficiency with CAD particularly Civil3D, MicroStation, and experience with OpenRoads software.
(required)Familiarity with WVDOH design directives and policies.
(required)Must have the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously.
(required)Professional Engineer's license in West Virginia or the ability to obtain through reciprocity within 3 months.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
