Lead CAD Operator (Civil)
Description The Lead CAD Operator will be involved with all aspects of CAD for support of civil engineering projects.
This position requires working in teams with CAD staff, engineering, and other technical subject matter experts.
The successful candidate will independently generate a complex 3D site, civil CAD models, revise drawing packages based upon red-lined engineering markups for projects working under engineering supervision.
This position is eligible for GAI's flexible hybrid work schedules and a sign-on bonus.
Job Duties:
Opening, revising, plotting, and saving of drawing CAD files.
Create new drawings from templates or from scratch with title blocks and border drawing blocks.
Create and modify drawing blocks, borders, and title blocksProvide direction for compiling, collating, assembling, and verifying completeness of drawing and project document packages.
Advanced use of scaling with model and paper space.
Ability to use style and formatting in CAD software.
Advanced knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD package.
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, including the creation of Surfaces, Grading, Volumes, and Profiles.
Advanced knowledge of Transoft Auto TURN extension for AutoCADAssist CAD technicians and CAD operators in the development of their skills.
BIM experience preferred.
